What's your deposit and payment policy?

A 50% deposit secures your date and covers materials for your group — the remaining balance is due the day of your workshop. We accept credit and debit cards. Final headcount is due 3 business days before your event, and your balance is based on that number.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Cancellations made 2 or more weeks before your workshop receive a full deposit refund. Cancellations inside that window forfeit the deposit, since materials are already prepped for your group. Need to reschedule instead? Just give us 2 or more weeks' notice and we'll move your date and deposit at no extra cost — inside that window, rescheduling follows the same policy as a cancellation.

A little about our founder

Nichole, founder of The Craft Break, outdoors with workshop supplies

Nichole — Founder

Before The Craft Break, I wore a few different hats — in-home designer, bookseller, even a stint in real estate. But there was always a craft project going in the background. I've been making things and running my own Etsy shops since 2005, and I bring that same hands-on experience to every workshop I personally plan and lead.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do workshops happen?

Wherever works for your team — your office, a rented meeting space, a restaurant patio, even outdoors. We bring all the supplies and set up wherever you tell us to be.

Do you travel outside Sacramento?

Yes — we regularly bring workshops to Elk Grove, Roseville, Folsom, Davis, Rancho Cordova, Citrus Heights, West Sacramento, and the surrounding areas. Tell us where your team is and we'll let you know if we can make it work.

What if someone on our team has allergies or a disability?

Every workshop starts with a conversation. Before your event, we'll talk through your team's needs — including any allergies, sensitivities, or accessibility considerations — so we can tailor materials and the setup to your space and your people.

How far in advance should we book?

We ask for at least 2 weeks' lead time so we can prep materials for your group. A 50% deposit secures your date.
